Radiologist Jobs: Director of Radiology in Texas



Director of Radiology for Regular Full Time Employment in inpatient facility, located in San Antonio, Texas.

Responsibilities for this job:

  • Managing the overall operational, financial, personnel and clinical aspects of assigned areas
  • Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and disciplines staff according facility policies
  • Identify, study and assist in resolving problems
  • Manages staff assigned to the department

Requirements for Director of Radiology:
  • Associates Degree in either AMA approved Respiratory Therapy, Radiology or Nuclear Medicine program
  • Current license in state of practice as Radiology Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent depending on specialty
  • Five years technical experience
  • Two years experience at a management level
  • TDH license required
  • BLS Certification required

A director of radiology will have a lot of responsibilities. One thing that I would definitely looking for in positions like this is the history of the applicant's radiology continuing education. If the applicant is always getting the required hours every two years, the applicant will definitely be one of the people I would consider.
